Youth Led by our Youth and Vocational Activities Committee, our club works locally with schools, youth clubs and vocational education to encourage creativity, new skills and personal development.

Our club works locally with schools, youth clubs and vocational education to encourage creativity and new skills.  We believe that encouraging personal development will support business, the environment and society to thrive locally and internationally.

Rotary’s popular Dictionary 4 Life project, now in its 15th year in the UK, has seen us present more than 220 of these dictionaries to year 5 pupils of four local primary schools.

At the secondary level, we partner with SATRO, a local education charity focusing on STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics) and other career skills. Rotary members with professional skills help in workshops providing pupils with vocational exercises and challenges and can also help prepare CVs and conduct practice interviews.

We also helped to finance St Nicholas School’s new Sensory Room.

practice interviews.

We also provide recognition for Shepperton and Sunbury based businesses and charities, rewarding their achievements and service to the local community and beyond.  Rotary members’ nominations are judged on merit for our annual awards.
